Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist and Founder of Ground Floor PT
Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist

Ariel Wynne PT, DPT, WCS

I am a physical therapist specializing in the pelvic floor and the founder of Ground Floor PT.

I graduated from the University at Buffalo with my DPT in 2018 and immediately started on the path of continuing education to specialize in pelvic floor rehabilitation.

I first became interested in treating the pelvic floor after a friend told me about their struggles with vaginismus. They got better with PT, but as a queer, non-binary person they felt misunderstood and frustrated during their medical appointments.

On one hand, I was fascinated by the fact that physical therapy could help with this condition but I was also disappointed that my friend had had a sub-par experience. I knew then that I wanted to work with the pelvic floor so that I could help patients, like my friend, get the highest quality of care in an informed and accepting environment where they didn’t feel like they had to explain themselves over and over again.

Every patient has a unique story and I look forward to hearing it and working together to reach your specific goals.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist at Ground Floor PT

Ali Thomason PT, DPT

I am excited to be joining the Ground Floor PT team! I am a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor and orthopedic rehabilitation. I graduated from Regis University in Denver with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).

I am passionate about treating the whole person with a holistic and intentional approach, while using evidence-based practice and communication when addressing physical health and recovery. I am certified in internal and external pelvic floor physical therapy treatments and utilize dry needling, cupping, soft tissue mobilization and mindfulness techniques in my patient care.

Before attaining my Doctorate in Physical Therapy I played water polo at the University of Michigan (GO BLUE). After graduating from UM in 2016, I worked as a clinical research coordinator for Michigan Medicine’s Pelvic Floor Research Group. I helped conduct studies on lower urinary tract symptoms in males and females, success of vaginal birth after cesarean, and biomechanical models for prolapse surgical outcomes. My time as an athlete and research coordinator have helped shape my practice and lead me to advocate for individuals and athletes to return to the activities and life they deserve symptom free.

Every patient has a unique story and I look forward to hearing it and working together to reach your specific goals.
